Is it me or is this a UX ripoff??
Look at this, especially the silver version.

Some might say 'rip-off' - others would say Sony abandoned the design (and it's loyal customers) what, two years ago now?
Forever the voice of reason,

There is proof that Sony have not entirely given up on the Clamshell PDA-type device yet here (http://www.jp.sonystyle.com/Qnavi/Detail/EBR-800MS.html)

I am guessing that the device above is one of those weirdy Librie (http://www.mobilemag.com/content/100/333/C2658/) things Sony tried out; a kind of electronic book with electronic ink. It's pretty nifty in that the "ink" remains static under the glass until the page is turned. Even with the power off.
Sadly it's a bit of a one-trick pony. And an expensive one at $295 USD....

Yep, that is a Librie. And I heard this one plays MP3s :)
