How the time flies. I have received multiple emails from kind people here at 1src inquiring if I was still alive. I wish to thank you ever so much for this and all the kindness each has shown me.

I am alive and doing well. I have not forgotten my first love which is skinning. Life changes things and priorities at times which we don't have as much control over.

For the past 9ish months I've been heavily involved with web-design and FLASH work for some customers and have not had the time for skinning as I do love to do. It has been a long road with the website work that I've been doing, but hopefully by the first of the year things will settle down some and I can once again start back up with graphic skinning. :)

I know I'm missing out on all the fun goings on in here and hope to rejoin the ranks as soon as possible.

Peace to all of ya!

Jeff

Thank you.

One of my recent things I created (part of my learning curve) is a simple crisp Flash Based Photo Gallery Where you can load up images and zoom in/out pan up/down/left/right.... etc.

If you wanted to look .... :

ISS Photo Gallery v1.0 (http://isoresolutions.com/Gallery/Demo)

Lovely gallery and works nicely in Safari. One suggestion (maybe it's already an option in the code): the loading message in the middle is distracting. Maybe you could fade from one to the other, and have the status message in the side bar?

Another minor issue: the navigation keys don't work with the help pane up. That through me for a loop.

JeffHey Jeff,

You know I'm one of the "pesterers" you mentioned . . . because I miss ya! And yes, I need a new skin too!

Thank you for the feedback on it.

The "Loading Message" is actually an image preloader. Since none of the images are contained within the flash it loads each image upon mouse-selection. One can use Large Images and the program will 're-scale' them (not resize them) to fit in the window. The image-preloader portion that shows is more of a benefit for those on slower connections so they can see they are loading say a 200k image and it is more of a loading progression for them to know that it is 'still working'. Those squares on the outer rim of the circle shows the progression. There are 20 hash marks so it increases a hash mark every 5% it sees that it has loaded. (just thought I'd share as to why it has that image preloader splash).

I know what you mean about the shortcut keys not working if the shortcut help is showing. The shortcut keys are tied into the button objects that are normally showing. When You pull up the shortcut keys panel I have to disable the buttons underneath or the buttons will still be 'active' and able to be pressed. Flash, while cool, doesn't automagically disable something if something is on top of it. What I might do is create an area button that will encompass the entire shortcut screen area which will do 'nothing' but not allow the buttons to be 'pressed' underneath the shortcut screen. :)
