Help my Clie is frozen!!!

Help! My NX70V just completely froze up. I can't even shut it off. Has anyone had the same problem? What do I do?

Try the hold switch on the left edge.

Just did that and I'm all set. I am such a technoidiot!! I thought with a reset I would lose everything. This is my first PDA so I'm a real green horn.

Not at all. What you probably did was a soft reset, that's where you stick the tip in the reset hole. There are 3 types of resets:

1. Soft reset. Stick tip in and that's it.

2. Warm reset. Stick tip in while holding the up arrow, after palm logo appears press cntrl H on your keyboard. This is like booting a windows conmputer in safe mode. It allows you access to debug.

3. Hard reset. This is a last resort. Make sure you have made backups to your MS and or your desktop 'cause you're about to lose everything including your shirt! Stick tip in while holding the power button. Release and follow directions.

My Clie is frozen and I can't hard, soft, or warm reset. It just displays the PALM logo.. HELP!

Have you been playing with the flash ROM ?
Wait til the battery drains and see if you can
recharge it back up....
