I don't know, Palm aren't meant for games, and Pocket-PC will crash while playing them...

I will have to be honest and say the Axim is the best PDA for games. It has a 3D accelartor and 16mb of dedicated video ram.
Note: there are actual mmorpg for the Axim.

The Tapwave Zodiac 1 is the best Palm OS device for games. Landscape with gaming controls. 8mb of dedicated video ram, ati graphics. 10mb of heap ram. 2D accelartor.
Note: Tapwave is out of bussiness, great device. Can be found cheaper now.

He is right you know. Zodiac at does have LJZ and MAME. ANd doesn't have Windows Media player which crashes on you. Has a built in integrated mp3 player.

A soft reset fixes everything, any you don't need a little paperclip.

for cheaper prices than any of the devices you have mentioned, you can get a SOny PSP, which is MUCH better for games.

Dell Axims are very nice, but will set you back about $600 CAD, which is twice as much as the Sony PSP will ($300 CAD).

I disagree with the PPC crashing rumor. All newer PPC's WM2003SE models and newer WM2005 are very stable. I never had a game crash on me.

Games on PPC are very nice on a VGA screen, Palm cannot compete against that. Also PPC's are more robust and can handle the gret requirements for games such as Anthalon and Stunt Car Extreame. Becasue you dont see Anthalon and Stunt Car Extreame for Palm (Except Zodiac which can handle SCE) However if you get a QVGA PPC you might not be that satisified with graphics. Screen is just too darn small.

Although I like my VGA PPC more, I still use my Palm Powered Zodaic for games more. I like DeluxeWare games, Astraware, PDAMill, RedMercury, Kickoo, MegaSoft2000, SmartBox (Farkle and Word Watch) and many others that PPC does not have.

Even my TH55 was used for games as much as my Zodaic was.

Conclusion:
Palm has better, more selection of games. While PPC has a great handlefull but does not compare to Palm unless you try VGA (But there are only so many VGA games out right now; most are being updated.)

Palm is a great all around OS for everything. I see PocketPC specializing more for robust use and work.

I played with a PocketPC at the store, and reset a ton. I tried another, same thing. Maybe some one screwed them up ;)

Demo Models suck. Beleive me i tried em'. Users screw all the settings up cuz they dont know what they are doing. :p Also they hardware is sometimes moddes=d to not work if stolen( sometimes you can see a hole in the back.) But if you buy a floor model they fix it back to normal. CompUSA does this.

I know that, as do most people, but he asked Palm OS Pocket PC
thought i'd just throw my opinion out there. since too many people buy PDAs for the wrong uses, then they start to complain and bash the product thanks to their own stupidity... seen it happen too many times...

if you're really worried about performance, i'd stick with the PPCs, or the Zodiac.

PPCs seem to handle games a little better in general due to the graphics acceleration, and the Zodiac, well, i think it was designed for games (that's just my guess).
