Tried searching the forums, but couldn't find the answer. My 256 MB card is almost full (photos, video, games, a little music) and I'd like to buy a bigger card. Anyone know of any size limitations on the T3. Can I use a 1GB card?
Thanks

1 GB okay.
Maximum SD expansion card size and transfer speed for Palm handhelds
Tungsten E2, T3, T2, T, Zire 71, 31, 21, and previous devices 1GB
These devices support SDIO cards, MultiMediaCard and SD expansion cards up to 1GB. Because of the file system used by these models, and those that came before them, larger cards may cause unexpected behavior or not work in these devices.

I'm using a 1gb card also purchased off E-bay for about $55. Toshiba, works great.

I already saw a regular SanDisk one in action...was pretty slow if I remember correctly

Sandisk cards are usually quite slow. I've owned a few and never liked them, even the Extreme II ones which are supposedly faster. But it's still quite slow. I prefer Lexar cards. But then, most cards are rebranded so you don't really know the true brand until you buy one and look in the Card info. Usually the Panasonic branded ones are good.

I've been using a 1gb SanDisk card for about a year now and have never noticed any problems. I store ebooks and mp3/oggs on it. Where exactly would one notice that it is slower than the competition?

Simply, even when I'm in the Launcher and tap to view what's in the SD card. There's much more of a longer lag that I really noticed when I use Sandisk cards. I have a 1GB Lexar card and don't notice the lag while with the Extreme II 512MB, I do notice. And, when transferring data over to the card, it takes longer.
There's been mention of card speed measurement using VFS mark and Card Speed. You can test it yourself and compare against others.
