When I had my Tungsten E, I had a Belkin Synch cable that would charge it from the USB port. I have been looking for something comparable for my TX and cannot find anything!!

I know the synch cable that comes with it is supposed to "trickle" charge, but all it does is keep it on and drain the battery. It is really a pain having two cables.

Anyone have a suggestion as to what to get?

Thanks.

Are you charging from a laptop and is the laptop plugged into an external power source? Boxwave minisync perhaps?

Charging from a laptop that is plugged into an extermal power source.

I saw the Boxwave thread after I posted mine. The DirectSynch looks like it would fit the bill.

I used the Boxwave miniSync with my NX80. Loved it. Waiting for my miniSync to arrive.

I converted to the iBook a month ago from PC. In that month I was trying very hard to use a Windows Pocket PC. I finally gave up with all the limitations I found. So, 2 days ago I bought a T/X Palm. Wonderful little handheld. As with quite a few of you, I'm having bluetooth problems but I'm sure that will all be worked out soon.

In the meantime, anyone know where to get screen protectors for the T/X? One came with it but I'd like to get more. Palm.com says they are still trying to get confirmaton on the screen size before they market them. Good excuse but I thought the T/X had been out long enough for that excuse to be old.

I am very happy with my VersaCharger+Minisync combo from Boxwave. I think the coolest thing is the VersaCharger has an LED that goes from red to green when the unit is fully charged, thereby "replacing" the erstwhile LED that Palm should have included.

LWR32, Boxwave also has screenprotectors. One of the tech mags gave them an editor's choice. I just got mine, I'll let you know what I think, but I believe there is a review on 1src news on them.

I used 2 Boxwave (www.boxwave.com) Clear Touch Anti-Glare screen protectors on my T3 for the two years I had it. Each lasted longer than the T3's digitizer, though they were getting close to replacement time, so when the T3 was swapped out, and then a year later the replacement was credited toward a TX, I chose to start over with a fresh protector. I actually stuck the second one inside a Glad sandwich bag, and when I was approved for the TX, I cut off 1mm and put it on the TX until I received a new protector from Boxwave. I decided to try a Clear Touch Crystal this time, which I like so far, but we'll have to see how long it lasts.

Hi,
If I am right, VersaCharger will work on all PDAs, Minisync is PDA specific adapter?

I use a 4 port USB hub for my devices on my laptop and the AC power to the USB hub gives me more than enough charge to my T|X with no problems.

I second (or third, or fourth) this. Boxwave stuff is very nice.

Brjlk,
Yes, the versacharger works on all pda's, and really, all portable electronic device that there is a boxwave cable made. The minisync are specific to the pda. I have one for my TX and another for my NX80. It's all in the connector.

The usb cable that came with mine charges just fine and doesn't keep the unit on. I went from 70% to 100% in a very short time, may not be as fast as the wall charger but it is plenty fast enough for me. :)
